I kept you waiting for very long I know... and I didn’t even finish writing about the last days in France which I am gladly doing now ;)
So where to continue when my brain my body my spirit is already much further.
Haaa I guess that will be a short entry but we will see.
After The beautiful Steve at Kenza’s and Guillaume’s place, we all kind of went to Separate ways. Philip Eva Lilly Sebastian went to another Workaway called „the walnut wonderland“ (which turned out to be a bad choice with a drunk guy and a falling apart house). Gemma went to a place we applied before but they didn’t take us because we were too many. The place is created by few scientists all in my age close to the Pyrenees.
The funny thing she convinced me very hard to join but I was still stuck waiting for parts for Jack :)
After I finally fixed the things (written in the last entry) I headed towards south remember the big plan was still Portugal ...
Two things happen on my way down.
first Gemma headed home to England before I arrived at this awesome science living sharing place. Sadly she had an injury of climbing...
Secondly I got stressed out even more driving Jack down there, till the point where I really questioned if it sense for me to keep the good old boy :(
At the same time I still hoped so much to get approved to another Workaway place, a Buddhist temple in the middle of the Pyrenees. We wrote and they made me believe I can come mid February. I was so very happy about that. If my bigger plans traveling to Asia and temples in Nepal and Bhutan were not working out, that’s just the right sign to go there...
I thought so!
But after 3 times them saying you can come... you can’t come... you can come... I left hope and took it as a sign that it is not meant to be.
So instead of staying and the science place for 2 weeks, I ended up staying almost 4 and had a very great time. I miss the late night talks about nerdy science topics with Matthieu, the chess games with Benjamin, the laughter the work the talking the climbing the hiking with all the others there. And of course Poncho the best cat ever :)
I wished I could stay longer to work on the many ideas and projects I had in my mind for that stunning place :)
Unfortunately they limited the time for workaway stay for 2 weeks (made even an excuse for me to stay

At the end of the days I had to leave that wonderful place and went with a decision, to drive home. Home to keep on my journey in Africa and figure out if I’m going to sell the good old boy or not.
I luckily had a passenger for 3 days Ragenhild from Norway a girl she was working at the science place as well.
And yes after 2 very very windy days where each change of wind direction I felt Jack moving, getting the pictures of that incident in Italy in my head bringing lots of stress to me even now I’m writing about it, I knew by the time I reached my parents home... he has to be sold!
It’s very sad, since everything is right with him he is just a old fat guy but I just don’t get those pictures out of my head.
So bye bye Jack...
I arrived at home beginning of March. Cleaned and emptied Jack and prepared for my next journey straight away.
I had nice 1 and 1/2 month back home till I moved from 25 qm travel storage to something like 1/3 qm!!!
Welcome back my beloved backpack I already traveled with 9 years ago (see those very old Blog entries) to Australia on my first trip. Seems like I’m not the guy with the camper... but supposed to be the guy with the backpack xxx
